Take 2 on the family blog!
i let it drop but there are lots of good stories. And if I keep them here, i can remember them until i actually have time to scrapbook them. Which might be never... but i'd love to. And i'd rather do this than clean the kitchen floor. kwim?
So about today -
Claire is in the middle of her school psych eval so that we can try to get an IEP for her dyslexia. I requested it February 18, today is May 7. and they have a total of 60 working days to tell us what they can do. Why rush, right? Dont you love government run programs?
She is not having a terribly difficult time with school right now, but i would love to know she is getting some extra help at school. things will get harder next year. And with the way she substitutes words while reading, i can see that science and history may become really difficult.

Today she has NWEA testing in the morning and a psych eval in the afternoon. in the middle there, we threw in a fake birthday party. her real birthday is summer but her wonderful teacher lets the summer kids have a party during school so they don't feel left out. So we took chocolate cupcakes with home-made icing. yum.
