If you're 2 and you don't want to go to bed, you'll do anything to stay awake. I took this at about 11pm. She was there for about 2 hours I think. She just wants to have fun. Her sisters just want her to go away.

We had a few nights of interrupted sleep while dd#3 learned bedtime is for everyone. The clincher was having a Care Bear party at 2 am on dd#2's bed. Dd#2 is a heavy sleeper and I'm shocked she was up for it, but she accomodated and played Care Bears until dh heard them and shut it down.

Nap time is diminishing, so that helps, but some nights, she just wants to be social. You can see she brought some friends along to help the party. On the other side of that door, dd#1 has wedged the door shut with her pink ballerina bar. Which is great until i need to wake dd#1 up in the morning.

So a new little device i've never needed before - one of those plastic balls that fits loosely over the door handle. We now lock dd#3 in her room for sleeping time.
