Jillian cried when I signed her up, and now she can't wait to do it again next year. Claire cried when i told her she had to do it again next year. I'm just glad the 5 hour meets are done and we can relax for 4 weeks before school starts up again. Thats hard to believe.

Here is Jillian. A rare shot of her with goggles on. She hates goggles. Which i think is weird because she wears glasses. Wouldn't she be able to adjust more easily? But she would rather have bloodshot eyes and be partially chorine blind than have to wear these. (Thats why she's wearing them in this shot. She said everything was blue and blurry and her eyes hurt. so she finally put a pair on.)

And here we have Claire swimming the back stroke. I like to call it the pinball stroke because when you swim in an outside pool with lanes, the backstroke leaves you kind of blind to your surroundings. So the younger kids swim until they run into the lane ropes, then they kick off in the other direction until they bonk into that side. And thats the way a typical backstroke heat in the 7-8 year old category goes. The kid with the least rope bonks usually wins.

Cute photos. The goggles you have look like nice ones or I would suggest splurging for good goggles. It made a world of difference when I bought some Speedo goggles for the kids. They weren't fidgiting with their goggles constantly anymore and learned to keep them on b/c they didn't have to deal with them fogging up or water getting in.
