I've wanted to journal my small but well-intentioned garden efforts. Last fall, with help from mom and dad, we ripped out two huge bushes (red dogwood?) from in front of the steps. In the holes, I threw in all the bulbs I'd picked up on sale at the hardware store and I'm hoping for the best. I'll move them later if they aren't great, but for now I'm looking forward to some cheery blooms in front of the house this spring. I'll post the rest here occasionally, but check out the link to the right for the whole thing. (this is the whole thing as of today) :-)

Beth, I just love these layouts you have done. I so want spring to get here in New England. Enjoy!
Beth, I am so far from being a gardener it is so sad. I want pretty flowers I just can not grow them. My best attempt is in a big old flower bowl! yep that is it and even that dies...
Great lo's!
Beth, whenever I daydream about sinking my hands into wonderful rich soil, I think of you. Instant kinship!
